Democrats Shut Down Democratic Process to Stop RFK Jr
According to Symone Sanders, a Democrat strategist and MSNBC contributor, the Democratic Party may resort to blocking the democratic process to prevent Robert F. Kennedy Jr. from challenging incumbent Joe Biden for the Democrats' 2024 presidential nomination.
Sanders, who has worked with Biden in the past, suggested that the DNC will refuse to hold debates to stifle Kennedy's campaign and safeguard their unpopular nominee. Recent polling data showed that Kennedy has garnered support from approximately 20% of Democrat primary voters, raising concerns about a potential challenge to Biden's candidacy.
When asked about Kennedy's chances of posing a serious threat to Biden, Sanders dismissed the notion and ridiculed progressives who want to live in a fantasy world. She emphasized that the current President of the United States is a Democrat who intends to run for re-election and declared that the Democratic National Committee would not facilitate a primary process.
According to Sanders, there will be no debate stage for Kennedy, Marianne Williamson, or any other potential challengers.
Sanders made it clear that there would be no debating and that Democrats would do whatever it takes to protect Joe Biden, including shutting down the democratic process. She pointed out that the Democratic National Committee is responsible for administering debates and would not set up a primary process for someone to challenge the head of the Democratic Party.
In Sanders' opinion, Kennedy's campaign is not a serious threat to Biden's re-election bid. She believes that progressives who support Kennedy need to come back to reality and recognize that the sitting President of the United States is a Democrat who wants to run for re-election.
Sanders indicated that the Democratic Party would take drastic measures to ensure that Biden remains the nominee, including shutting down the primary process and refusing to sponsor any debates. She believes that there will be no debate stage for Kennedy or anyone else to stand on, and that the DNC will not facilitate a primary process for someone to challenge the head of the Democratic Party.
Sanders' remarks suggest that the Democratic Party is willing to take extreme steps to maintain its hold on power and prevent a potential challenge to its nominee.
