Biden Losing Ground With Working Class, Blacks and Latino Voters
Reportedly, Joe Biden is experiencing a decline in support from working class voters, as well as black and Latino voters.
The Democratic Party and the media shouldn't be taken aback by the loss of white working class voters; this trend occurred a long time ago. These voters are aware that the Democrat party doesn't prioritize their well-being. Consequently, they became a significant part of the Trump coalition.
The shift of black and Latino voters away from Biden should be a cause for concern for the DNC.
According to Axios:
President Biden's struggle in polls against former President Trump can be largely attributed to his notable lack of support from a traditionally Democratic constituency: non-white voters without college degrees.
Why it matters: While Democrats have gained ground with affluent suburban voters since Trump's rise in politics, their support among working-class voters has dwindled.
In recent years, analysts have focused on white, working-class voters who switched their allegiance from former President Obama to Trump, constituting a crucial segment of the new GOP coalition.
However, Democrats have also experienced significant loss of support among non-white voters, creating a serious challenge leading up to 2024.
Interestingly, this decline occurs as Trump, the prominent figure of the GOP, faces an extraordinary set of legal charges before the 2024 election…
This is probably the most worrisome issue for Democrats:
Non-white working-class voters are dissatisfied with the state of the economy, despite some clear signs of improvement. There is a consistent sentiment among working-class voters from various backgrounds that opposes Biden's environmental agenda, believing that Democrats are hastening the shift from fossil fuels to renewable energy.
Isn't it clear to those in Washington that working class voters have shifted their allegiance?
Democrats appear to believe that their new core supporters are the transgender community and individuals without citizenship.
These seem to be the groups they prioritize the most.
